A-Cero

The architecture studio A-cero was founded in 1996 in La Coruña, Galicia, Spain. Since the beginning, it established a philosophy about design of modern architecture inspired by the art world, especially in sculpture, and in the best contemporary architects and designers, finding soon its own hallmark.
The team, led by Joaquin Torres&Rafael Llamazares, has grown in proportion to its activity and customer demand. The success achieved mainly by detached houses, followed the orders of the first large buildings such as an office building in the M-40 in Madrid or the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of La Coruña.
In recent years, the work in the Studio has been intensified enhancing the department of landscaping and interior design (creating even its own showroom in Madrid), and ending the conceptual model of architecture as a whole: Architecture, interior design and landscaping. Moreover, A-cero Tech project (modular houses) is now a reality as a “low cost” option for a high quality demand.
Very quickly, A-cero has begun its process of internationalization after winning a private competition for a 500,000 m2 complex in Dubai. Now, the Studio has offices in Madrid, A Coruña, Dubai and currently is developing projects in countries like India, the USA, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Thailandia…
In 2012, the museum of contemporary art of Valencia (IVAM) has dedicated a retrospective exposition to the A-cero work. In 2016 Opens its new headquarters – studio in Madrid with more than 1.000 sqm.
